Connecting People with Premium Pop-ups

Challenge

Create a premium experience that allowed Square to connect with merchants and consumers, promoting the benefits of their mobile payments hardware systems.

Experience

We created a constantly evolving pop-up store to cater to the various needs of each target demographic. Appointment-only sessions were conducted with merchants, open days with street teams encouraged the public to interact with the store for behavioral change, and a calendar of events created spikes in awareness. We found the space in high-foot traffic Nolita, NY. We then designed the interior for an optimized visitor flow, and trained brand ambassadors to become specialists in mobile payment technology. Partnerships were negotiated with AMEX, Fancy and Panorama Festival, driving engagement, education and habituation of mobile payments.
