Celebrate the anniversary of the iconic “Boat and Tote” and “Field Coat” during NYFW by popping up a showroom experience where New Yorkers, stylists, and fashionistas can custom embroider staple pieces.
For NYFW, L.L.Bean partnered with Abbode, a quaint embroidery shop in Nolita, to offer customization of exclusive anniversary items. The shop was transformed into an L.L.Bean showroom, creating a curated a space that seamlessly blended the brand’s rich heritage with a contemporary NYFW twist.
We kicked off the experience with an exclusive event for celebrity stylists, inviting them to design one-of-a-kind pieces specially tailored for their clients. The intimate setting fostered conversations about the brand's history, complemented by Maine-inspired bites and beverages that captured L.L.Bean's roots and added to the warm atmosphere.
Once we were open to the public, eager fans lined up for the opportunity to personalize their own Boat and Tote with unique embroidery icons. The weekend-long experience, complete with distinctive product displays, an archive gallery wall, cozy seating areas, and a upbeat atmosphere, celebrated the timeless craftsmanship of L.L.Bean’s iconic products.
